In August 2017, we were contacted by a potential client from Zaporizhzhia with a request to bring an online store of building materials and rolled metal products to the TOP 10. They immediately made it clear to us that the budget was somewhat limited, and they needed to achieve the goal with the maximum possible resource savings.

We, in turn, warned the client that the budget was dependent on the time it would take to achieve significant results. The larger the budget, the faster the goal can be achieved. If resources were limited, we suggested that we could achieve good results within 6-12 months. The plan was agreed upon.

Active actions

Due to the clear direction, we, first of all, began to work on internal optimization for regional requests. We took into account not only the name of the region but also the cities of the region: Vasylivka, Dniprorudne, Enerhodar, Melitopol, Prymorsk, Orekhiv, Tokmak, Polohy, Gulyaypole, Kuibyshevo, Volnyansk, Novomykolaivka, Pokrovske, Chernihivka, Tomakivka, Marhanets, Slavgorod, Smyrnovo, Velyka Bilozerka, Komyshuvakha, Kamianka-Dniprovska.

The following work was carried out in the area of internal website optimization:

  • Meta tags and site titles were adjusted to the maximum extent possible.
  • A list of recommendations for improving the semantic optimization of the site was compiled and the project developer monitored the implementation of the tasks.
  • The semantic core by region was compiled.
  • The content was written and posted.

The semantics had to be finalized and expanded. In addition, we created new content every month.

In the field of external optimization:

  1. We developed a link-building strategy.
  2. Using crowd marketing and working with exchanges, we created more than 70 unique links, 400 pages with links for the client’s website. All of them are, of course, eternal.

Problems

Due to the lack of stability in payment for services from the client, we were unable to achieve our goal as quickly as possible. If we count the number of months from the first contact to the result described in the case study, it took us as long as 11 months. Although the actual work was carried out within 7 months, which is proportional to the number of payments.

Victories

As a result of our work, the project has not only risen to good positions in Zaporizhzhia and the region but also achieved good results throughout Ukraine.

This was a nice bonus for our client. We would like to remind you that the budget was limited and focused only on regional development. The task of expanding the geography was to be discussed at the next stage.

In the process, all other indicators increased: visibility and number of words in the top 100.
